Kampong Kupang Mosque’s youth were declared champion in a quiz held to mark Hijrah 1446 yesterday.
Pekan Seria Mosque youth and RPN Kampong Rataie Mosque youth were first and second runners-up.
Tutong District’s chief religious officer Haji Azman bin Haji Musa presented prizes to the winners.
The quiz, organised by the Tutong District Mosque Affairs Office in collaboration with Mosque Affairs Department’s Library Division and RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang Mosque Takmir Committee, saw participation from seven youth groups.
The competition, held at RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang Mosque, aimed to encourage healthy competition, raise morals and cultivate the love for religious knowledge.
It also sought to promote the mosque as a source of knowledge, which is beneficial for the congregation as well as the community. – Azlan Othman
