    K-Pop sensation (G)I-dle dominates charts

(ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – On Tuesday, Cube Entertainment proudly revealed that (G)I-dle’s highly anticipated second studio album, “Two,” has not only made a striking debut but has also claimed the coveted top position on the iTunes top albums chart in an impressive 24 regions.

The album’s success extends to Apple Music’s top albums chart, where it soared to No 1 in eight different regions, underscoring the global impact of the K-pop girl group.

Released on Monday, “Two” showcased its immense popularity by amassing over 1.8 million pre-orders, solidifying its status as (G)I-dle’s second million-selling album following the success of their sixth EP, “I Feel,” released last year.

The quintet achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new record, with over 860,000 copies sold on the first day, demonstrating the unwavering support of their dedicated fanbase.

However, the celebratory mood is tempered by the news that Minnie and Yuqi, integral members of (G)I-dle, will be unable to participate in the promotional activities for the new album.

Both artists are currently on a break for health reasons, leading to the cancellation of the media conference originally slated for Monday, where the album was supposed to be introduced.

Despite this setback, the physical version of “Two” is set to hit shelves on Tuesday, allowing fans to further engage with and enjoy the latest musical offering from (G)I-dle.
