Jubilant mood grips capital

Following the ‘Istiadat Bersanding Pengantin Diraja’ ceremony for the royal couple, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam at Istana Nurul Iman on Sunday, the event proceeded with the procession around the capital, where thousands of people await to get a glimpse of the royal newly weds.

The royal couple’s motorcade led the procession, followed by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji ‘Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel, along with other members of the royal family.

The procession went through Jalan Haji Basir junctions with Jalan Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien (SOAS); Jalan Simpang junction with Jalan Padang; Jalan SOAS’ junction with Jalan Dato Taib; Jalan Tasik junction with Jalan Pehin Dato Isa; Jalan SOAS junction with Jalan Stoney; Jalan Kianggeh junction with Jalan Bendahara; Jalan SOAS junction with Jalan Bendahara; Jalan Kianggeh junction with Jalan Elizabeth II, Jalan SOAS junction with Jalan Elizabeth II; Jalan Kianggeh junction with Jalan Pemancha; Jalan Kianggeh junction with Jalan Cator; Jalan Kianggeh junction with Jalan McArthur; Jalan McArthur junction with Jalan Pretty; Jalan Masjid SOAS junction with Jalan Elizabeth II; and the exit junction along Jalan Stoney, before returning to Istana Nurul Iman.
