Sepakat Energy Services Sdn Bhd (SES) signed a Joint Venture (JV) Partnership with leading preservation specialist based in Norway, Presserv Group during a signing ceremony yesterday.

Officers and staff members from both companies as well as representatives from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) led by In-Country Value Manager Hajah Rosita binti Haji Hassan witnessed the occasion.

Welcoming the attendees to the main office at the Rassau Business Park was SES Managing Director Dzairenny Muslim, accompanied by Executive Director Liana Radzak.

Dzairenny noted how SES has a long history in asset integrity services and is an established niche service provider for niche services.

He added that the company also aims to conduct sustainable operations and expects the partnership with Presserv Group will lead to explosive growth for the local workforce that forms the majority of the company.

Presserv Group CEO Niklas Hermansson also shared how the companies share the same goals and vision of adding value to existing equipment in offering customised preservation and specialising in strategic preservation management within various markets and industries, in line with their vision of making things last.

Presserv Norway Country Manager Trond Medhus was also present.

Dzairenny noted there is a consistent shortage of suitably qualified and experienced preservation professionals globally, and the JV will open doors for the local workforce to tap into.

“The opportunity for Bruneian workers (through the JV) is to not only work on preserving existing infrastructure and assets in the country, but also to work internationally as the skills gained will be sought after globally, further adding to our in-country values.”

In signing the JV, Dzairenny hopes it will lead to more awareness of the importance of preservation, not only in the oil and gas industry but also across other industries.
