Israk Mikraj celebrations continue nationwide

The Israk Mikraj celebrations continued to be held throughout the Sultanate, and among them the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday held an Israk Mikraj celebration at the Al-‘Afiah Hall, MoH organised by the Nursing Services Department.

Present as the guest of honour was Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar.

Acting Permanent Secretary at the MoH Dr Ang Swee Hui, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary of Health (Policy and Management) at the MoH Dr Hajah Anie Haryani binti Haji Abdul Rahman as well as Acting Director General of Medical and Health Services Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail were also present.

The ceremony also featured an invited lecturer from the Faculty of Islamic Management from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Dr Mohammad Hilmy Baihaqy bin Awang Haji Yusof who delivered a talk on ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Bertawakkal dan Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian: Sembahyang Meraih Redha Allah’.

A similar event was organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) at its Setia Pahlawan Hall.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin attended the event as the guest of honour. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat before a religious talk on ‘Ibrah Isra’ Mi’raj: Menjadi Insan Bertaqwa dan Berintegriti’ by Dean of Syariah Faculty at Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar.

Meanwhile, UNISSA held its own Israk Mikraj celebration at its auditorium hall yesterday. Present as guest of honour was Acting Rector of UNISSA Dr Arman bin Haji Asmad.

A special forum on ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Bertawakkal dan Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian: Sembahyang Meraih Redha Allah’ was delivered by Year 3 student from the Faculty of Usuluddin Abdul Mujib bin Awang Sh’minan and a Year 2 student from the Faculty of Islamic Technology Muhammad Firdaus bin Saif, with a Year 1 student of Faculty of Usuluddin Muhammad Dzulkhairi bin Haji Ibrahim acting as moderator.

The forum highlighted the importance of prayer as the key to seeking Allah the Almighty’s blessings and educating the heart and soul.

The Women’s Business Council (WBC) held a handover ceremony for orphans on Thursday at Soto Hashma Restaurant in Kampong Salambigar to commemorate Israk Mikraj and the 39th National Day.

WBC President Datin Paduka Hajah Rokiah binti Haji Zakiah handed over the donations to the orphans along with representatives of various charity projects.

Twenty six orphans were presented with donations collected from Privation, Impian Cahaya Iman project, Pertubuhan Kasih Slimmimi, Saham Akhirat and members of the WBC.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Tahlil, led by Haji Muhammad Nazri bin Haji Othman from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
