The Islamic Studies Department, through the Co-Curriculum Section, organised several co-curriculum activities for teachers and students in Arabic and religious schools nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The objectives were to educate, find new talent, embrace and instill students’ love towards reading Al-Quran and to train students to be confident before an audience.
A prize presentation ceremony was held at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School in Kampong Katok yesterday.
It was held to extend appreciation to participants of the competition, organised by the Islamic Studies Department while supporting religious and Arabic school co-curriculum.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang presented the prizes.
A video presentation of co-curriculum competitions and presentation from the winner of a storytelling competition in Arabic language were also held.
