An Indonesian national embraced Islam in a conversion ceremony held at Badi’ah Hotel on Thursday.
Twenty-four-year-old Junjun Wahyu Saputra (pic below) recited the Syahadah in the presence of officers and staff from the Dakwah Development Section of the Islamic Dakwah Centre (PDI). Following the ceremony, he adopted the Islamic name Muhammad Wahyu Saputra.
The event commenced with the recital of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah. After the Syahadah recitation, Muhammad Wahyu Saputra was presented with a welcome gift, followed by a Dikir Marhaban. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat.
The Islamic Dakwah Centre reported that 286 individuals have embraced Islam in Brunei Darussalam from January to November 20 this year. – LYNA MOHAMMAD
