Indonesian Music Festival to rock Kuala Lumpur

ANN/THE STAR – Three prominent Indonesian acts are gearing up to dazzle fans at the Indonesian Music Festival, set to rock Kuala Lumpur on August 24.

Presented by Unusual Entertainment, the eagerly anticipated event will unfold at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, featuring dynamic performances by rock sensation Kotak, along with soloists Ifan Seventeen and Marcello Tahitoe.

Kotak, a powerhouse trio formed in September 2004, consists of vocalist Tantri Syalindri Ichlasari, bassist Swasti Sabdastantri, and guitarist Mario Marcella. Renowned for chart-toppers like “Pelan-Pelan Saja,” “Masih Cinta,” and “Aku Yang Tersakiti,” Kotak pledges an unforgettable evening for their ardent supporters.

Fans of Ifan, also known as Riefian Fajarsyah, can anticipate a soul-stirring showcase of his hits including “Kemarin,” “Cinta Jangan Disembunyikan,” and “Menunggu Kamu.” Since departing from Indonesian pop group Seventeen in 2018, Ifan has carved out a successful solo career, captivating audiences with his emotive vocals.

Adding to the star-studded lineup is Marcello Tahitoe, a celebrated artist with a repertoire that spans hits such as “Gak Kayak Mantanmu,” “Benci Tapi Rindu,” and “Sorry Abis.” Marcello, who also fronts the iconic rock band Dewa 19, boasts six acclaimed studio albums, showcasing his versatility and enduring appeal.

Music enthusiasts and aficionados alike can expect a night filled with nostalgia, energy, and stellar performances as these Indonesian talents bring their best to Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant music scene.
