The Ministry of Education (MoE) through its Department of Educators Management organised a sharing session on school leadership standards to officers from the Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) at the main hall of the Curriculum Development Department yesterday.
The sharing session aimed at supporting the implementation of the MoRA’s strategic plan that focusses on the governance of religious education.
The objective of the partnership is to provide support and ensure success of students in religious and Arabic education.
The session began with a welcoming speech from Acting Director of Educators Management Masdiah binti Haji Tuah, followed by the presentation of the Brunei Darussalam School Leadership Standards National Guidebook to Director of Islamic Studies Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar.
It proceeded with a briefing on the school leadership standards by, Pengiran Hajah Mashayu binti Pengiran Haji Yusof, Head of School Leadership Unit of the Planning and Career Development Section, Department of Educators Management at the MoE.
The briefing touched on the establishment, implementation and impact on the development of school leaders’ competencies across the country, in particular student achievement.
Heads of departments and senior officers from the MoE and MoRA were also present.
