Immigration crackdown continues under ‘Operasi Kabat’

The Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) recently conducted ‘Operasi Kabat’, targeting immigration offenders across the Sultanate, led by the department’s Law Enforcement Division in Bandar Seri Begawan, to curb illegal immigration activities.

During an operation in Mukim Gadong ‘B’, an enforcement team detained a foreign national suspected of overstaying after the immigration pass expired and for working without authorisation from their original employer.

The individual was taken for further investigation.

In another operation in Mukim Berakas ‘B’, authorities inspected a business premise and worker’s accommodation, resulting in the detention of three foreign nationals. Two were suspected of working illegally and another is suspected of working outside the scope specified on their work pass and for abetting immigration offences. – Fadley Faisal
