Imams in the Friday sermon highlighting the importance of conserving water and emphasised the various practices to sustain water.
Parents were urged to educate children from a young age about water conservation and to set an example for the family. Use of rainwater collection basins for household tasks are encouraged and it is advisable to closely monitor water bills.
Imams also stressed the need to promptly repair leaks in private water pipes and to report any leakage of government water pipes to the authorities. Unauthorised water usage, such as tapping into fire hydrants without permission, is discouraged. – Azlan Othman
