Qatar Embassy in Brunei Darussalam
The Qatar Embassy in Brunei Darussalam hosted an iftar at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong yesterday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and guests comprising government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and Qatari community in the Sultanate were welcomed by Charge d’Affairs ad interim at the Qatar Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Mohammed Abdulrahman MA Al-Jufairi.
The event also featured a mass Maghrib prayer. – Adib Noor
Brunei Darussalam Embassy to Saudi Arabia
Brunei Darussalam Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Haji Harun bin Haji Junid hosted an iftar for Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) delegation visiting Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) in Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from March 19-28.
FABD President Haji Feisal bin Haji Eusoff Patail briefed the ambassador on the visit and meetings with SAFF senior officers in Riyadh. They also exchanged views on developing football in the Sultanate. – Azlan Othman
Radio Television Brunei
Twenty orphans were treated to iftar at McDonald’s Lambak under Radio Television Brunei’s (RTB) 16th Jalinan Kasih project on Monday.
Acting Deputy Director of Development Muhammad Zulkarnain bin Haji Ibrahim, Projek Jalinan Kasih Chair Muhd Muizzuddin Asyur bin Mat Japar and joint secretary Nurul ‘Izzati binti Haji Nordin were present alongside RTB senior officials.
Jalinan Kasih project is RTB’s community outreach programme to assist underprivileged families in the Sultanate as well as foster a caring culture in the community. – James Kon
National Association for the Hearing- Impaired
The National Association for the Hearing-Impaired (OKP) organised an iftar at Bandar Seri Begawan’s Youth Centre recently.
OKP President Pengiran Haji Norhalim bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman joined association officials, 308 OKP members and their families at the event.
