His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam visited the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization in Madinah Al-Munawwarah yesterday.
Accompanying His Majesty were members of the royal family.
His Majesty was welcomed on arrival by Secretary of the Board of Directors of International Exhibitions and Museums of the Biography of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization Dr Nasser Al-Zahrani.
His Majesty toured several galleries that showcase information on the divinity of Allah the Almighty and As-Sirah An-Nabawiyah – the journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, which is located adjacent to the An-Nabawi Mosque, is a museum dedicated to the life journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through his noble character and teachings; displaying the history of the Islamic world, monuments and artefacts; showing the impact of Muslims as well as contributions to human civilisation by using the latest technology and methods in promoting virtuous Islamic teachings.
The museum also creates an educational entertainment platform which aims to maintain virtue, religious values, national identity and social cohesion.
Meanwhile, His Majesty received in audience His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of Madinah, at The Oberoi Madinah yesterday.
