His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, emphasised the crucial role of religious education in advancing the nation’s welfare during a Titah on Thursday.
Addressing attendees at the national celebration of Israk Mikraj for 1445 Hijrah, held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas, the monarch urged relevant agencies to ensure the optimal implementation of religious educational programmes in the country.
“Practical emphasis on religious knowledge, such as the method of ablution, actions, and recitations during prayer, still needs to be strengthened, not only at the primary school level but also at higher levels.”
