The giant-sized national flag was hoisted up on Saturday morning at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex’s open area to mark the start of the 77th birthday celebrations of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman officiated the handing-over of the flag.
The giant flag was then hoisted up by personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy.
