Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd (Ghanim) has completed its first full loaded export container shipment to Sabah, marking a significant milestone for the Company and also for Brunei Darussalam. Ghanim is currently collaborating with Jetsin Sdn Bhd, one of Sabah’s leading distributors specialising in halal frozen food, to distribute and market Ghanim products in Sabah. This achievement underscores Ghanim’s commitment to supporting the nation’s aspiration to diversify the economy through export activities.
The shipment comprises of Brunei Shrimp Crackers produced at Ghanim’s Brunei Food IndustryDevelopment Multipurpose Processing Facility (BFID) in Salambigar and arrived in Sabah on 1st March 2024. The products will be launched in Sabah in conjunction with the Sabah International Food Expo (SIFEX) 2024 this weekend at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Representative for the Ghanim Board of Directors, YM Edzwan Zukri bin Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Adanan, congratulated the team for achieving this milestone. “This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of the Ghanim team. InsyaAllah, this will open many prospects, not just for Ghanim, but for other MSMEs to participate in overseas exports as well.”
Ghanim is a subsidiary of Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd and is currently operating the BFID facility located at Salambigar Industrial Park. With the expanding export markets, Ghanim also offers opportunities for local MSMEs to utilise Ghanim’s BFID facility to expand their business production.
