Gearing up for Higher Education Expo

Politeknik Brunei (PB) is gearing up for the Higher Education Expo 2024, scheduled for February 3 to 4 at Bridex hall in Jerudong. PB will also host its open day at their Ong Sum Ping Campus on the same dates. A webinar is also planned for February 5 from 11.10am to 11.40am.

PB is currently in its 14th intake and now provides 21 programmes under four schools: School of Business (SBS), School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), School of Science and Engineering (SSE) and School of Health Sciences (SHS).

Part of the initiatives taken is revising most of the offered programmes’ duration from three years to 2.5 years.

Several programmes have also been combined to align with industries’ requirements following the guideline provided by the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC), Ministry of Education.

PB has introduced two recruitment sessions each academic year – July and January – for its expansion. The ongoing July recruitment session allows registration through the Higher Education Centralised Admission System (HECAS) and PB Admission System (PBAS) for selected programmes.

To accommodate students, PB has expanded teaching venues, collaborating with the Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C), Lambak.

The collaboration facilitated academic year 2023/2024, serving students from both July 2023 and January 2024 admissions, particularly those in programmes under SBS and SICT.
