In a keynote speech titled Menjunjung Keprihatinan Raja Soleh Terhadap Bahasa Zikir di Negara Zikir, KUPU SB Ra’es Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar highlighted the importance of enhancing, planning and working to improve the understanding of the language used in Al-Quran.

“His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam prioritises and shows interest in the development of Arabic language in Brunei Darussalam.

“This was also seen during the reign of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam, who developed the Sultanate’s early education system by establishing religious and Arabic schools,” he added.
