Gaza humanitarian fund collection extended to April 2025

With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the collection for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 has been extended for another six months, until April 18, 2025.

The extension includes the collection platform available under the fund namely collection via SMS Brunei Prihatin, handled by Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST), Progresif Sdn Bhd and imagine Sdn Bhd, the Secretariat National Committee of the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 said in a statement yesterday.

The donation boxes are still provided at mosques, suraus and places of worship throughout the country, public as well as commercial buildings and banks in cooperation with the association of banks. Charity activities for the purpose of collecting donations can also continue to be organised.

The total collection of this fund as of October 17 is at BND4,774,876.79. An amount totalling BND1,399,545.00 has been used for the delivery of humanitarian aid in the form of ready-to-eat meal packets to Palestine by air-drop carried out from March 13-15, 2024.

The balance of the fund as of October 17 is BND3,375,331.79. – James Kon
