The French Embassy in Brunei Darussalam celebrated the French National Day with a reception at The Rizqun International Hotel on Tuesday night.
The celebration saw the singing of the national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and France, as well as a ceremonial cake-cutting by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and French Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Bernard Regnauld-Fabre.
There was also a presentation of a newly edited illustrated book on the French fairytale Cinderella and the little glass slipper by Dr Malai Zeiti Hamid binti Sheikh Abdul Hamid and Haji Nasir bin Dato Paduka Latif. – Adib Noor
