The Chancellor’s Trophy 2024 was officially launched yesterday at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s (UBD) Pro Chancellor Arts Centre. This year’s competition will see four higher education institutions – UBD, Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali and Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan – vying for the coveted title.
The participating institutions will engage in a series of sporting, religious and cultural activities.
Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad officiated the launch.
The launch ceremony featured a performance by the UBD Choir Club and a parade by the competing teams. Additionally, representatives from the permanent members and hosts of the competition showcased various performances.
UBD Student Representative Council President Muhammad Zulkhairi Jifli bin Jainuddin highlighted the significance of the tournament as a platform for fostering friendships and learning. – Fadhil Yunus
