The ‘Bicara Semarak Hari Kebangsaan’ forum was held to further enliven the 40th National Day celebration at Pusat Insani, Seria in the Belait District yesterday.
The talk was organised by the Brunei History Centre (PSB) under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and the Islamic Studies Department (JPI) with the support of the MoRA.
Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad was the guest of honour at the forum.
PSB Principal Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong and KUPU SB’s Director of Centre of Core Knowledge Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar delivered talks around the theme ‘Appreciating the Struggle of the Older Generation towards a Sustainable and Brilliant Future’, moderated by education officer from the JPI Haji Muhammad Jaya bin Haji Metussin.
Among the topics discussed were the understanding and appreciation value of national independence from a historical perspective and the national aspirations that have been achieved. – Daniel Lim
