The Veterans Association of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (PERWIRA) held a flag-raising ceremony yesterday to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the founding of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC).
Deputy President of PERWIRA Major (Rtd) Haji Karim bin Sapar led the event at PERWIRA’s headquarters in Kampong Anggerek Desa.
More than 40 members of the association attended the ceremony, which served as a tribute to VECONAC’s legacy and the collaboration among veterans across Southeast Asia. – Fadley Faisal
