A team of five firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) will compete in the Malaysia International Rescue Extrication Challenge (MIREC) from today to October 24 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The team is led by Assistant Superintendent of Fire and Rescue Muhammad Rafiq bin Reduan.
A national flag handing-over ceremony was held at the Brunei International Airport prior to their departure.
Acting Director of FRD Azmi bin Haji Hafneh officiated the ceremony and presented the national flag to the team.
The acting director also shared words of advice and motivation with the team before their departure.
