The latest trend? Creating stunning chrome nails using eyeshadow. The chrome nails craze, which has been trending on social media for months, can be effortlessly recreated at home. A simple TikTok hack shows how to achieve the look quickly and without extra costs, as the products required are likely already in your make-up stash.
Eyeshadow has become a go-to for nail art lovers, offering an affordable and easy way to achieve a professional, polished finish.
The #chromenails hashtag has already racked up one-and-a-half billion views on TikTok, and you only have to scroll through the associated posts for a few minutes to realise that eyeshadow has become an indispensable manicure tool.
This was already seen recently with the rise of vampire nails, an ultra-chic manicure that’s gaining in popularity, and which can be achieved with black or grey eyeshadow. But it’s chrome nails in particular that are now putting to use this unusual, effective – and inexpensive – trick, which will save some people a trip to the salon.
Such is the success of this beauty hack that its very own hashtag, #eyeshadownails, has already surpassed 46 million views.
And putting it into practice couldn’t be easier. All you need is a base coat, a nail polish (in the colour of your choice, depending on the desired effect), an eyeshadow or an eyeshadow palette, and a top coat.
The idea is to use the eyeshadow to get the coveted chrome look.
There are two ways to achieve this. The first is to apply a base coat, followed by the varnish of your choice, then a pearlescent eyeshadow, and then fix everything in place with a top coat.
