Thirty students and three teachers from Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College visited the Department of Councils of State at the Legislative Council (LegCo) building recently.
The students attended the proceedings within the council as the LegCo members addressed the need to widen the reach of Brunei-made products, the importance of providing further aid to low-income groups, and the alarming number of unused government residences left vacant with poor maintenance.
The Cabinet members also stressed the need to diversify local products beyond food, acknowledging the high barriers to entry into foreign markets due to fierce foreign competition but maintained the stance that systematic actions must be taken towards commercialising Brunei’s goods.
