The Tutong Sixth Form Centre (PTET) students who achieved excellent results in last year’s BC GCE ‘A’ and ‘AS’ Level examinations were presented with the Academic Excellence Award during a ceremony.
According to PTET, Chua Mige, Alvin Theo Kui Thian, Muhammad Faisal bin Julaihi, Muhammad Razien Amsyar bin Almasri, Liew Jia Jun, Aisyah Adibah binti Muhammad Daud, Vivian Yap Mei Yan, and Muhammad Asfa Radhi bin Mohammad Yusran received the award for achieving A/A* grades in three or more subjects.
Additionally, PTET also awarded students who scored 300 or more tariff points and those who excelled in specific subjects at the BC GCE ‘O’, ‘A’, and ‘As’ Level examinations.
Students also received motivational awards for the Privileged Guided Learning (PrivGL) 2023 programme for the best academic improvements, the best mentor and mentor motivation awards, and mentors who achieved at least four hours of mentoring for the Peer Mentoring Programme (PMP) 2023.
Motivational awards were also given by PTET tutors to students who showed improvement in their academic results.
PTET also honoured tutors who met the national targets for the October/November 2023 BC GCE ‘A’ and ‘AS’ Level examinations with A*-C and A*-E grades.
Awards were also given to departments that met the national A-E grade targets.
Additionally, PTET presented the ‘Hadion’s Mathematics Award’ and ‘Bryan Hasyum Science Excellence Award (BHSEA)’ to Chua Mige. The special PIBG Uswatun Hasanah Student Award was received by Chua Mige and Ong Wei Eng.
The event also featured a video clip titled Aku dan Takdirku, conveying important lessons for students. Acting Tutong District Officer Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri was the guest of honour.
