Kampong Lambak Youth Association (PERBEKAL) organised a ceremony to mark the 38th National Day celebration at the lobby of Datu Mahawangsa Lambak Primary School last Sunday.
The event, held in collaboration with Kampong Lambak ‘B’ village Consultative Council aimed at fostering ties between village residents and PERBEKAL members.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa seeking protection from Allah the Almighty, and a brisk 2.5km walk around the village vicinity.
It continued with a speech from PERBEKAL President Pengiran Mahari bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir followed by the singing of the national anthem.
The event also saw a mini sports festival.
The highlight of the ceremony was the launch of ‘Eco PERBEKAL’, an economic programme by the guest of honour, PERBEKAL Patron Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud.
Meanwhile, Kampong Lambak ‘B’ Acting Village Head Pengiran Jofri bin Pengiran Haji Zaidi in his capacity as PERBEKAL advisor launched the official PERBEKAL T-shirt.
The event concluded with a prize presentation ceremony by Vice President I Siti Seriana binti Haji Mohd Yusof and Vice President II Pengiran Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir.
