Envoy shares tips on negotiation skills

The Brunei Darussalam Women’s Graduate Association (PSW) organised a talk titled ‘How to Improve Your Negotiation Skills’ in Kampong Anggerek Desa where Canadian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Ambra Dickie was the keynote speaker.

The high commissioner’s talk focused on improving negotiation skills, with the aim of enhancing participants’ ability to understand and predict people’s behaviour, build confidence in defending and advancing personal and organisational interests and strengthen strategic approaches to both competitive and cooperative negotiations.

Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Hasbi, spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs, was the guest of honour.

In addition to the talk, PSW also organised a rose-selling activity to raise funds for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023. The initiative highlights PSW’s commitment to humanitarian causes.

The event provided a platform for participants to gain knowledge and insights into effective negotiation techniques while fostering meaningful connections. It also showcased PSW’s dedication to contributing positively to the community.

Established in 1990, PSW is a non-governmental organisation that aims to unite female graduates in Brunei Darussalam, maintain professional relationships and create a forum for discussing issues related to women’s self-development, family, community and country. By organising and managing various activities, PSW strives to increase the involvement of female graduates and women in general in national development. – Lyna Mohamad
