Ensure time is spent with piety

Faith can guide Muslims through an extraordinary world where it feels like the end of the world is about to happen, said a religious officer during Saturday’s Munajat night.

“People living in the end of times will face challenging tests, slander and trials. Only with strong faith and the right knowledge will we be saved,” said Islamic Da’wah Centre’s religious development officer Haji Muskrisman Safari bin Haji Mustapa.

He said the matter was stated by Allah the Almighty in Surah Al-’Asr, which held the meaning, “Man is truly at a loss except for those who believe and practise righteous deeds, and ordered to follow the right and ordered each other to be patient.

“Time passing quickly is included in the signs of the impending doomsday. Time feels so fast because of the loss of blessings in life, the lack of practice for the afterlife, wasting time on things that are not important and beneficial until they no longer have value.

“Therefore, as Muslims, we need to take note of the time spent today is a life that needs to be filled with pious practices in order to be blessed,” he said.

Saturday’s Munajat night was attended by congregants from 99 mosques.

Also joining the weekly religious activity was Temburong Muslim Converts Association (PESAT), School Inspectorates and Officers from the Islamic Education Department, mosque takmir committee members of various mosques and family members of staff from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.- Azlan Othman
