The Information Department sent out two convoys to raise the spirit of nationhood and patriotism across the four districts yesterday.
Permanent Secretary (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Ajman bin Haji Meludin flagged off the two convoys from the Information Department headquarters at Jalan Airport Lama.
The convoys hoped to encourage the flying and waving of the national flag as part of the 39th National Day celebration.
Acting Director of the Information Department Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini led the first convoy to Mukim Kota Batu in the Brunei-Muara District and Mukim Labu in the Temburong District.
Meanwhile, the second convoy led by Acting Deputy Director of the Information Department Hajah Hamsah binti Datu Kerna Haji Jaya travelled to Mukim Lamunin in the Tutong District and Mukim Seria in the Belait District.
The two convoys met with grassroot leaders, including mukim penghulus and village heads, and handed over the national flag to selected houses.
