The weekly Munajat night has been receiving encouraging support from ministries in glorifying the event. This was evident based on the response during the 49th Munajat by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS).
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad attended.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang were also present.
Congregants from 85 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide also joined, including Pehin Khatib Abdullah Mosque in Kampong Kulapis, Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque, Kampong Bukit Udal Mosque and Kampong Penabai Mosque in Tutong District, Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque and Kampong Sungai Teraban Mosque in Belait District and Kampong Puni Mosque and Kampong Sibut Religious Hall in Temburong District. Youth clubs in the Brunei-Muara District coordinated by Youth Transformation Community Club, Senior Citizens Association, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah volunteers, and Southeast Asia Youth Ship programme (BERSATU) alumni also participated. Youth clubs in the Tutong District coordinated by IMPAK Youth Movement and Tutong Youth Centre Association, scouts and astronomy associations as well as youth clubs in the Belait District coordinated by Minda Youth Movement also participated, joined by Belait Red Crescent Association, Sutera Association and Belait District Youth Association (PEMBELA). Meanwhile in Temburong District, Permata Hijau Youth Club and youth volunteers groups were also enrolled.
The event commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the MCYS Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, followed by the reading of Surah Yaasiin led by Permanent Secretary (Culture) at the MCYS Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan.
Doa Munajat was led by Haj Managing Director at the MoRA Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohammad, while a talk ‘Living in the Neighbourhood’ was delivered by a religious preacher accredited by Islamic Religious Council Brunei (MUIB) Mohammad Fahmi bin Haji Matnor from Kampong Kilanas mosque. The recitation of Asmaa Ul-Husna and Selawat were led by Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the MCYS Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin. The event concluded with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Grade 1 Imam at the Mosque Affairs Department from Pehin Khatib Abdullah Mosque in Kampong Kulapis Abdul Najib Syazwan bin Shahrani.
