The Polish Embassy in Brunei Darussalam is set to hold an exhibition on Nicolaus Copernocus in partnership with Laksamana College of Business (LCB) today at the college and a Polish Food Festival tomorrow at The Rizqun International Hotel.
The food festival is the fourth of its kind to be held since 2018, and patrons will be spoilt for choice with over 20 featured dishes.
Marcin Budynek, Mariusz Olechno, and Kamil Babkowski will showcase the Polish cuisines from five regions including duck with apples, lamb shoulder and beef tartar along with their authentic soups sour dough (zurek) and red beef soup (chlodnik), with some sourced from Polish company Lesne Skarby.
Budynek has been a chef for Polish and French presidents, and American actors. He was also the head chef at the Film Festival. Budynek said there is similarity in taste between Brunei and Polish cuisines, such as the way they combine meat and fruits in cooking. – Azlan Othman
