DPMM FC lose 3-2 to Balestier Khalsa FC

DPMM FC sank to a fourth successive loss in the Singapore Premier League 2024/2025 match after losing 3-2 to Balestier Khalsa FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas last night.

The home side enjoyed a good start as new foreign import signing Davis Ikaunieks opened the scoring near the half an hour mark.

The Latvian forward, who joined the club in the recent transfer window from FA Siauliai, opened his account in his fourth appearance.

The Tigers returned from the break with purpose and intent as Kodai Tanaka helped his side go on level terms in the 47th minute.

Balestier took the lead as their latest recruit Anton Fase gave his team a platform for victory in the 67th minute.

The Gegar Gegar men found the equaliser through the returning Hakeme Yazid Said one minute from time but Riku Fukashiro snatched the winner deep into stoppage time. The Japanese received a cross and beat his marker before drilling a low shot past DPMM FC goalkeeper Kristijan Naumovski, sparking jubilant scenes in the Balestier’s camp.
