The Ministry of Defence (MinDef) announced on Tuesday that approximately ten F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets from the United States Air Force may require landing at Brunei Darussalam’s Rimba Air Force Base on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

According to MinDef, the fighter jets have recently concluded an exercise in the region and may stop over in the country for refuelling before proceeding to their next destination on the same day.

MinDef urged the public not to be alarmed during the potential arrival and departure of the fighter jets.

According to a previous report, ten F-18 fighter aircrafts and one C-2A fleet logistics aircraft from the United States Navy made a stopover on March 10 due to technical issues and the need for refueling.
