US Navy fighter jets made stopover due to technical issue

In response to noise complaints registered in various regions of the Brunei Muara District on Sunday, March 10, the Ministry of Defence (MinDef) issued a statement on Monday, clarifying that several United States Navy fighter jets had made an unscheduled stopover at the Brunei International Airport.

This brief halt was attributed to technical issues and the need for refueling.

MinDef further explained that the fighter jets successfully departed from the Brunei International Airport at midnight on the same day, resuming their journey to the next destination.

According to the US Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, the ten F-18 fighter aircrafts and one C-2A fleet logistics aircraft that made the stopover were from the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT Carrier Strike Group.
