Some 60 individuals comprising single mothers and orphans received cash donations from Citis Square Management Managing Director Dato Victor Lai at a ceremony hosted at SCR Xpress in Citis Square recently.
Legislative Council member and the Village Head of Kampong Subok Yang Berhormat Lawi bin Haji Lamat was the guest of honour. Citis Square Management Director Jun Lai and the building’s land owner Pengiran Salleh bin Pengiran Haji Besar also participated.
“We’ve decided to continue supporting this cause by hosting another donation ceremony and a sungkai dinner. We also provided basic necessities to single mothers, hoping it will offer some assistance in our effort to give back to the community,” said Dato Victor Lai.
The necessities comprise rice, cooking oil and instant noodles. – Lyna Mohamad
