His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah graced a doa kesyukuran ceremony last night held in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ 39th birthday celebration.
The ceremony took place at An-Naura Hall of the Yayasan Shopping Complex.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as the Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors; Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar as Deputy Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors and Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak as Acting Managing Director of Yayasan.
The ceremony commenced with mass Maghrib prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasiin.
It was followed with a Doa Kesyukuran for His Royal Highness’ birthday celebration led by Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Metassan bin Haji Tahir, and the Isyak prayer.
His Royal Highness cut a birthday cake and received a pesambah from Yayasan.
His Royal Highness, born on June 30, 1983, was appointed Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan on March 1, 2013.
Leading at the highest level of Yayasan, His Royal Highness is concerned with the management and development of the foundation and often chairs the Committee of Governors Meeting, visits and is involved in its projects and activities.
