The short yet powerful prayer – Doa Al-Afiyah seeking protection from diseases, pains and sufferings, calamities, distress and grief from Allah the Almighty – was highlighted at a weekly Munajat religious talk held on Saturday night.
Special Duties Officer (Grade II) at Counselling and Religious Understanding Unit at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid delivered the religious talk from Kampong Tanah Jambu Mosque.
This was the 86th edition of a weekly religious activity organised by MoRA.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Dr Haji Mahali bin Haji Momin, who was in attendance, led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Al-Fatihah from Kampong Kupang Mosque.
There was also the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Doa Munajat, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The event also saw participation from mosque takmir committee members from Kampong Tanah Jambu Mosque, Kampong Kupang Mosque and Kampong Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque as well as congregants from 90 mosques, suraus and religious halls. MoRA employees and their family members were also present.
