At the Higher Education Expo 2025, held from Saturday, 8th February to Sunday, 9th February 2025, the UBD booth can be found at BRIDEX Hall 2, Jerudong. Prospective students, as well as parents and guardians, are welcome to speak directly to faculty representatives on the first day from 10am to 5pm and from 9am to 5pm on the second day.
The expo also coincides with UBD Discovery Week 2025 on campus, which will run from Sunday, 9th February to Saturday, 15th February. From Sunday, 9th February to Monday, 10th February, faculty representatives will be at the UBD Library to answer enquiries. Open from 9am to 5pm daily, learn more about UBD’s diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, admissions, scholarships, and even get a glimpse of campus life. For convenience, visitors can park at the Chancellor Hall parking lot, UBD School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE) parking lot, and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) parking lot, all within walking distance to the UBD Library.
Exciting New Programmes
The two events are the perfect opportunity to learn more about recently launched programmes which include one Bachelor and two Master programmes.
The Bachelor of Counselling (BOC) programme is a skill-based curriculum offered by the Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) in collaboration with the Counselling Division, Ministry of Education. It places a strong practical focus and is open to graduates as well as seasoned professionals. With a growing need for robust mental health interventions in Brunei Darussalam, including psychotherapy and counselling, the programme features flexible learning, micro-credentials, and multiple pathways which can accommodate various learners’ needs through the 3-year “Fast-Track” and duration of up to 12-year for Lifelong Learning pathway.
The Master of Science (MSc) in Islamic Finance and Data Analytics offered by Universiti Brunei Darussalam School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE) is coursework-based and designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in Islamic finance, financial technology (FinTech), and data analytics. This programme, a first of its kind, will equip graduates not only in Islamic finance principles but also with the critical data analytics skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving financial landscape due to technological advancements. This interdisciplinary approach will cover financial analysis, statistical modeling, data visualisation, and machine learning.
UBDSBE also offers the Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, which is a coursework-based programme designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in logistics and supply chain management. It integrates Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-driven methodologies with industry relevant practices, addressing evolving demand of global supply chains. This programme uniquely positions itself as a leader in bridging traditional logistics management with cutting-edge analytics and emerging technologies.
For school-leavers applying for UBD’s Bachelor degree programmes—Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Sciences, and Bachelor of Arts (Brunei Studies)—but who have not quite met the entry requirements, the University Bridging Programme (UniBridge) is a challenging one-semester full-time programme designed to prepare students for university entry.

On the second day of UBD Open Day, the inaugural Faculty Showcase from Monday, 10th February to Saturday, 15th February offers exciting exhibitions, interactive activities, and guided tours at various faculties on campus. Prospective students and visitors can choose from: Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT), Faculty of Science (FOS), Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB IHS), School of Digital Science (SDS), and UBD Botanical Research Centre (BRC). Details of each faculty’s activities will be available on UBD’s official Instagram account, @ubdbuzz.
Secure your slots by registering for their activities and tours early during the Higher Education Expo 2025 or UBD Open Day as quotas for the sessions are limited. While most of the activities on campus are free, registration fees for the UBD Botanical Research Centre guided tour are BND1 for students and BND3 for other visitors.
