Excited to contribute to innovative projects, Nur’Ezzah Azeemah looks forward to continued growth professionally.

She remains determined to achieve her goals and embrace new challenges in her career.

“To all the students out there, believing in your own potential is crucial; validate yourself first, and the rest will follow. Your hard work and dedication will certainly lead to success, so stay focused and never lose sight of your goals.

“When you believe in yourself, you’ll achieve great things. And remember to have fun while you’re at it.”

Muhammad Firdaus bin Arifpin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a programme he believes has equipped him with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the business world.

“Firstly, a degree in Business Administration offers a well-rounded education in various areas of business such as management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

“This diverse curriculum will equip me with a solid foundation in business principles and practices, enabling me to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world situations,” said Muhammad Firdaus.

Throughout his Business Administration studies, Firdaus gained a comprehensive understanding of management, finance, marketing, and more, honing his problem-solving and decision-making skills crucial for the business world.

Networking opportunities were abundant, fostering connections with classmates and industry professionals through events and conferences.

The programme’s diverse curriculum posed challenges, covering intricate subjects like accounting, human resources, and operations. Managing coursework and deadlines tested his time management skills, while analytical thinking was essential for tackling complex business problems.

Teamwork and collaboration were emphasised, challenging him to navigate communication and coordination issues within teams. Reviewing lecture notes and creating study schedules were integral to preparing for exams, ensuring a thorough grasp of key concepts.

His internship at Serikandi Oilfield Services Sdn Bhd further enriched his practical knowledge. As a Talent Acquisition/Human Resource Recruiter, he sourced talent for Project and Engineering Departments, recruiting graduates from Universiti Teknologi Brunei and JobCentre Brunei.

The experience exposed him to real-world engineering projects, including CAD modelling and feasibility studies, and provided insights into industry practices and project management techniques.

Working alongside seasoned professionals in the oil and gas sector broadened his understanding beyond classroom teachings, highlighting industry-specific challenges and best practices.

Muhammad Firdaus’s journey underscores the value of practical experience in complementing academic learning, preparing him for a dynamic career in business administration and human resources.

Cynthia Tjhin, a 21-year-old graduate of Diploma in Animation and Multimedia Design, was recognised as the best student at her convocation. Her drive to excel stems from a deep passion and curiosity for her subjects, spurring her to achieve academic excellence.

“Final exams can be stressful,” Cynthia admits. “That’s why I start preparing days, even weeks, in advance. I’m naturally competitive and passionate about my grades.”

She employs various study methods, including handwritten notes for better retention, reciting them aloud, and creating self-test questions to gauge her readiness.

Cynthia’s dedication to thorough preparation reflects her commitment to academic success, ensuring she’s fully equipped to excel in her studies.

“My journey with the college has been immensely fulfilling. Firstly, I attribute much of my current achievements to the dedicated lecturers who supported me throughout my studies.

“Additionally, my time here has been marked by cherished memories shared with my peers, as we supported each other through various academic challenges.”

Cynthia’s journey has honed her innovative thinking and creative talents, unveiling new strengths applied effectively in tasks. Eager for new learning and career growth, she focuses on securing a sustainable career while independently refining her skills.

Eyeing opportunities in animation, graphic design, and digital media production, she aims to enhance her expertise through potential further studies in animation.

Her background in multimedia design propels her towards roles that maximise her creative and technical skills, paving the way for impactful contributions in interactive multimedia development.

“Ultimately, I’m also excited about roles where I can contribute to innovative projects, collaborate with talented teams in the same field, and continue to push the boundaries of storytelling and visual communication,” she added.

Graduate Hajah Maraya Rabiatu Tadawiah @ Mu’izzah Rabi’atul Adawiyah binti Haji Matnor embarked on an enriching journey in media production, progressing from a certificate to a diploma level, driven by her passion for exploring multimedia and broadcasting nuances.

“My journey over the past three years has been a roller coaster ride, filled with challenges in various types of video production, including liaising and collaborating with media colleagues during industrial training.”

With a focus on effective time management, she organises her schedule to balance studies and activities, surrounded by supportive individuals. Understanding lecture material deeply, rather than just memorising, enhances her ability to apply knowledge in exams and real-world scenarios.

During her two-month industrial internship at Radio Television Brunei (RTB) last April, she gained hands-on experience in media relations and broadcasting, including news coverage and scripting during the Legislative Council meeting in 2023.

After completing her diploma, she plans to pursue further studies or explore opportunities as a freelancer or full-time worker in broadcasting or media relations. With a solid foundation, she aims to make a meaningful impact in the industry. – Lyna Mohamad
