Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) yesterday hosted a Turkish Promotion Day at Jubilee Hall, aimed to celebrate and promote Turkish culture and language.
Turkish Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Professor Dr Hamit Ersoy, the guest honour, delivered his welcoming remarks. The event featured a video on Turkiye, highlighting the country’s rich heritage and vibrant culture, followed by a short Turkish lesson by the ambassador’s spouse, Lale Ersoy, offering guests a glimpse into the Turkish language.
The event also featured four mini booths in collaboration with the Yunus Emre Institute from Turkiye, each highlighting different aspects of Turkish culture: language, calligraphy, information and archery.
The day concluded with UNISSA Acting Rector Associate Professor Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad presenting an appreciation gift to the ambassador, a group photo session and refreshments. – Fadley Faisal
