Crown Prince calls for empowering study of Al Quran

His Royal Highness Prince Dr Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office in a sabda said: “Facing the various challenges of the times, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute, and especially its A’aliyah Qiraat Diploma Program, needs to further expand its role and be ready to always proactively see the space and opportunity in jointly spreading the study of the Al Quran as part of the noble practice of life for the Bruneian society centred on the philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) and the approach of a Nation of Zikir (Remembrance of Allah).

In delivering a sabda at the certificates presentation ceremony for Diploma in ‘Aliyah Qira’at programme for 28 students including nine female students at Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al Quran Tahfiz Institute on Saturday at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, His Royal Highness added that certain initiatives aimed at collaborative efforts to empower Al Quran study through social media, such as memorisation and understanding the meaning of selected verses in an organised manner will be able to attract the interest of every age group in line with the development and access to current information communication technology.
