The High Court recently settled a complex civil dispute involving the admission of proof of debt by a liquidator to a company.
The court examined several grounds raised by the applicant, a realtor, disputing two sums in a bank’s proof of debt. One sum was questioned on the basis of lacking court adjudication, while the other was contested due to partial repayment by the company liquidated.
The court’s October 23 decision, upheld the liquidator’s decisions, ultimately dismissing the application and awarding costs to the respondent.
