Network Integrity Assurance Technologies Sdn Bhd (NIAT) renewed its OBSERVE™ Academia Grant with Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) recently at a signing ceremony at NIAT’s headquarters in Menglait.
On behalf of NIAT, the grant agreement was signed by NIAT’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lim Ming Soon, witnessed by Head of Commercial Wong Teck Sion.
UBD was represented by Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) Associate Professor Dr Abby Tan Chee Hong and Professor of Mineralogy and Petrology and Director of Research at the Office of Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Dr Basilios Tsikouras.
Under the agreement, UBD students will be granted access to NIAT’s OBSERVE™ Geographical Information System (GIS) platform.
The platform includes ESRI ArcGIS software and will enable them to explore the realm of satellite data imagery and remote sensing data analytics for tasks such as identifying and classifying objects, monitoring changes, and harnessing geospatial capabilities for robust data visualisation and information sharing.
The collaboration promised a journey of discovery and the acquisition of insights for the participating students.
