Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd Asset Manager Haji Zalani bin Haji Lalim yesterday emphasised the significance of collaboration with stakeholders to foster development and progress through ongoing engagement with the government sector, industry partners and community leaders.
Haji Zalani also said Brunei LNG maintains its commitment to continue sustainable operations and continuing to be a major contributor to the national economy as one of the country’s main drivers of growth, empowering the building of future capabilities for the Sultanate.
He said this during the annual briefing for the Mukim Lumut Liang community at a hotel in Kuala Belait as part of efforts to strengthen relationships with the community.
As Brunei LNG begins its turnaround activities for the year, the organisation aims to ensure that all operations comply with stringent legal standards that maximise the safety and social welfare of the population. Other topics discussed included the assurance of maintaining continuous operations for Brunei LNG, road safety, and the dangers of encroachment around hazardous, restricted areas.
The briefing also served as an opportunity for Brunei LNG to foster clear, transparent communications with external stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed about the organisation’s achievements, operations and challenges and holding open conversations through a dialogue session with the event attendees.
“As part of this commitment, Brunei LNG will also aim to keep all parties regularly updated through existing media platforms as safety remains a top priority for the company.” it said in a statement. “As such, the company continues to implement robust measures to protect the employees, contractors and surrounding communities from potential risks. Brunei LNG will also continue to be committed towards similar ventures in ensuring the well-being of the community in which it operates,” it added.
