To support the economic diversification policy of Brunei Darussalam and the development of the national economy, Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Bandar Seri Begawan (CCC BSB) vowed to continue to play an active role in promoting trade.
The vital role of CCC BSB was underscored by its president, Malcolm Lim, at the association’s 75th anniversary celebration at the Aman Hill’s Damai Ballroom yesterday, joined by over 1,000 guests.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was the guest of honour.
The CCC BSB president called on members from various industries to utilise the association’s platform to exchange ideas and tap into emerging opportunities in the new paradigm to create an innovative, vibrant private sector.
He conveyed his gratitude to past and present advisors, presidents, committee members of CCC, youth entrepreneurs and women council, for their support and cooperation.
The guest of honour, executive committee of the association and guests cut a cake to commemorate the 75th anniversary celebration of CCC BSB.
Also present were leader of the Chinese community and honourary advisor to the CCC BSB Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin and Ambassador of China to Brunei Darussalam Yu Hong, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps.
Invited guests included President of National Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Malaysia Industry Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan and President of Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Dato’ Seri Hong Yeam Wah.
