Carrier Brunei teamed up with regulators to spearhead a new programme to train heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians on the safe handling of low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant R-32.
R-32 is an energy efficient and sustainable option for air conditioners. Following extensive collaboration with the Public Works Department (JKR) and the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe), Carrier Brunei offered its facilities and resources to institute a dedicated R-32 certification for HVAC technicians.
On Saturday, over 170 technicians received certification, which lead trainer and sales manager at Carrier Brunei Rahul Kumar Singh said is an investment “in upskilling Brunei’s HVAC workforce”.
