I would like to highlight the ongoing traffic jam near a school along Jalan Jangsak during rush hours.
As someone who spends a good amount of time on the road, the thought of passing the area early in the morning or around 3pm during school days fills me with dread.
The Bulletin recently reported the issue, stating that despite the availability of a pedestrian bridge, parents continue to park by the side of the road, turn on the emergency lights and leave their idle vehicles to fetch their children from school.
While I applaud the construction of the bridge in a bid to split up the traffic, the lack of a parking area on either side of the dual carriageway means the issue will continue to plagued road users.
As such, I believe the authorities ought to consider dedicating a plot of land for these parents, to move them away from the road that is also used by other motorists.
