For heightened security and safety, the airspace over Bandar Seri Begawan has been designated as restricted airspace on March 9, 2024, from 6:00 PM to midnight, as announced by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) in a press statement on Saturday.
According to the DCA, unauthorised aircraft, including drones (unmanned aircraft), are strictly prohibited from operating in this airspace.
Non-compliance with this regulation is deemed a contravention of the laws and regulations of Brunei Darussalam, as specified in Section 51 of the Civil Aviation Order 2006, the DCA emphasised in the statement.
